FROM FORMAL TO INFORMAL

Hey there. What’s up? Today I will be bringing to you some tips and tricks to change our formal wear into an informal/ party/ casual wear! Let’s be honest- There are some times when you have a party night just after work and you’re so tired that you just don’t want to change. Or there are even some situations when you’re informed at the last moment about a party or even sometimes you just forget about it. But don’t worry girl, I got you! Here are some hacks which will help your day going!

1. WHEN YOUR’E WEARING A FORMAL COAT AND SKIRT

   

• Take the blazer off!
• If you have full sleeves or three by four sleeves, roll them as much as possible and the creases or the rolls of the sleeves should be visible. But make sure to not leave it hanging in an absurd position. If you’re wearing half sleeves, roll them a little but not so much that it looks like a cut sleeve top. Also tuck it out of your skirt and loosen it up a bit.

• Nothing is better than wearing accessories. If you’re already wearing a necklace, don’t remove it and if it’s a layered up necklace, open it up and then wear it. Keep wearing you ear and nose rings as well. To spice up your look a little, you can ditch one of your earrings. Pick some studded sticker jewels on the go and decorate your ear with it! I swear this hack is just SO dope. (The picture below is an idea for how you can place the stickers on your ears. You can customize it on your own and even go crazy!) If you have a spare necklace, don’t hesitate to wrap it around your wrist!

 

• Pull that skirt up. Try to make your skirt short. You can even fold the hem of your skirt to give it a look. As most of the times it’s a pencil skirt, you can’t do much about it. If you have a belt, tuck out your shirt and wrap the belt around your waist over the shirt. But if you happen to have a stall, wrap your belt around the stall/scarf after wearing it in a certain fashionable way (an image to guide you is attached below.). If you have fishnet stockings, that’s excellent! If not, ditch the stockings.

You HAVE to have heels. If they look too formal, decorate them with the gem stickers you bought earlier for your ears. I know this sounds crazy but it works!

 

2. WHEN YOU’RE WEARING COAT AND PANT

• Ditch the coat.
• Fold the hem of your pants as up as possible.
• Tuck your shirt out.
• Bring it heavy with the accessories!
• Roll the sleeves of your shirt.
• Wrap a scarf around your waist to give yourself a boho-ish look!
• Again, heels are a must. Make sure you’re wearing high heel sandals.
• Imply the gem sticker technique with the earrings. If you have a spare ring, go for the septum piercing kind of look like the one shown below-

 

3. WHEN YOU’RE WEARING A DRESS

• Yes, roll up those sleeves!
• Roll or fold the hem of your dress to make it shorter.
• Fishnet stockings would go great.
• If it’s a button up dress, open up a few buttons and you can even try to make it off shoulder.
• Wear a belt if you have one.
• A great hack which goes with almost any outfit is diy yeezy boots. If you happen to have long socks and high heels, wear your socks over the heels and cut a hole where the heel must go and voila! You have some really nice yeezy heels.

Spring 2018: What’s in Style

Hey guys! 2018 is finally here! But are you ready for the new year? Don’t worry, I got you! Here are some of the staples  you must have in your wardrobe for spring 2018 so you don’t get left behind the trend! Keeping up with the trend of spring 2018.

 

1. RUCHING

Ruching is the frequently used to describe gathering or pleating of any kind on a garment. This looks specifically good on dresses and gowns and is very comfortable.

STAPLES- You can keep a red/black/mustard ruched off-shoulder crop top in your wardrobe and you’ll be ready to rock that top this spring! (It’s is not a total necessity that you HAVE to keep a red or black off shoulder crop top, you can always modify it according to your liking because YOU are the one wearing it, you should choose how you gonna rock it!)

2.  RUBBER

Yes, you heard it right. Rubber. Top fashion designers are molding simple rubber material to beautiful AND comfortable cloths from dresses to suits to silhouettes to footwear and even sportswear(I know right!).

STAPLES- For this spring, A rubber jacket, should definitely bag a place in your wardrobe. Even a rubber bag is gonna get you rocking this season! If considering boots, go for rubber boots but don’t overdo the colour in footwear.

 

3. TRANSPARENT

Yes, transparent! To be honest, I think transparent is pretty cool. It’s something new and innovative, which might or might not have been in trend earlier. But transparent trends set the game on another level. They attract people’s eyes anywhere you go. I’d give it a 4 out of 5 because they don’t always tend to work out with your outfit and it needs to be well fitted. But otherwise, it’s a good show off to people!

STAPLES- If you’re not really willing to just start from another level and take it grand, I suggest you go with transparent accessories like clutches/handbags, hair accessories and small necklaces, for the beginning, if you want to test it or take it slow first. You can also go with transparent skirts (not fully transparent but perhaps from knee down or however you like), to take it up a notch. I’d suggest you start from small, but if you’re a great risk taker, play wild! Go for transparent boots or jackets.

(P.S: I’m not telling you to opt for the choker, but transparent/holographic accessories in general. Don’t go with the choker- it’s so last year! I try to be 100% honest with you guys!)

4. DARK DENIM

Personally, I think this one is a game changer. Dark denims are just SO bold, and they mostly go with everything. This spring, Throw some dark denims with a vintage touch in your closet to show them what you’re made of!

STAPLES- You MUST have a dark denim jacket (preferably with a vintage touch) in your closet, because, well, that goes with mostly everything! A jumpsuit should also rest in your wardrobe and a dark denim blazer would totally set you on fire this spring. Try to avoid denim accessories this year. Even denim sneakers are a no-no. Go for black boots instead.

 

5. LAVENDER

If this colour doesn’t scream spring to you, I don’t know what else does. This is such a pretty and elegant colour and it always enhances your inner beauty and glow. A lavender evening gown will be ideal for you this season but if you wanna play bold and take things up a notch, try a lavender coloured suit! Sweet!
